Big Fishing Creek Fishing Report

Date: November 11, 2025

Water Conditions: No gauge available, water is fishable temperature but low and clear.

Optimal Condition: Heavily limestone tinted water with moderate-high flows

Water Temperatures: 48-55F

How’s it Fishing? Fishing is still technical, however cooler temps have made the fish a bit happier. Focus on the deeper pockets and runs, anywhere the bottom is hard to see. The further you can stay from the fish the better. Size 18 pheasant tails, dark perdigons, and walt’s on 7-8x tippet are the ticket, along with green weenies and chartreuse mops along the banks. If you decide to fish, be aware of spawning fish and redds!

Hot Flies: Orange and peach eggstacy eggs (#14-18), Walt’s worm (16-20), pheasant tail (16-20), Chartruse mops (10), Zebra midges (18-20), olive/black France flies (16-20), Squirmy worms (12-14), & olive/black/brown blank savers (10-14)
