Innovative Angling Clinics

Looking for a great way to learn tactics and techniques that will help you excel on the water for a lifetime? Our on the water fly fishing classes and clinic may be the perfect option for you. These six to eight hour courses cover everything from the basics to specific advanced tactics. You’ll learn with a group of four to six anglers through presentations, demonstrations, and one on one instruction. All classes and clinics are taught by Mike Komara, with additional instruction for larger courses– you can find the list of our upcoming classes below. 

Winter Nymphing Tactics

December 6th, 2025 | 8 Hours

Want to up your nymphing game and learn the best techniques for success through the winter season? Come join us for this one day clinic on Spring Creek, where we’ll go over intermediate euro nymphing skills and how to apply them specifically to winter fly fishing scenarios. We’ll also discuss flies, gear, and how to stay warm on the river. Lunch will be provided by Millers Hoagies.

Euro Nymphing 101

March 28th, 2026 | 8 Hours

Tyrone, Pennsylvania (Little Juniata)

Euro nymphing has exploded in popularity over the last few years, and for good reason. If you’ve never tried it, but want to learn more about this incredibly effective tactic, this is the class for you. We’ll go over equipment, theory, on the water demonstrations of the basic techniques, and one on one instruction to make sure you’re off to the right start. Lunch will be provided.

Euro Nymphing 201

March 29th, 2026 | 8 Hours

Have you been euro nymphing for a few years and want to up your game? Our 201 clinic will help you take your fishing to the next level. In this class you’ll learn intermediate and advanced techniques for meeting the fish on their terms. We’ll go over rigging, casting techniques, presentations, and using it all to effectively cover water. Lunch will be provided. 

Spanish Dry Fly Fishing

April 19th, 2026 | 6 Hours

Tyrone, Pennsylvania (Little Juniata)

The Spanish dry fly fishing style is just starting to catch on with the general angling population in the US, but is gaining popularity quickly. This technique is widely used in competition for a reason- it’s by far the best way to fish a dry. If you’ve ever wondered how the pros get a fifty foot drag free drifts, this clinic is for you. We’ll go over theory, on the water demonstrations, and end with one on one instruction. Each attendee will get two leaders to use for the day, as well as leader formulas to make their own at home.

Competitive Fly Fishing Strategy

June 6th, 2026 | 8-10 Hours

Bellefonte, Pennsylvania (Spring Creek)

4 Spots Remaining | $275/person

This class is geared toward active competitors looking to improve their skills and competition results. We’ll go over competitive theory, beat strategy, and covering water effectively. Participants will fish a mock session, and receive feedback on what to work on and improve. Limited to four anglers.

Booking and Cancellations

Clinics and classes can be booked via email, phone (call or text), or by using the contact form below. A $100 deposit is due at the time of booking, which can be paid via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle. Cancellations for clinics made with less than seven days notice will forfeit their deposit.
